You know, that always happens to me. I email someone and they're like, "Whoa! I was just talking about you!" or "I was just thinking about you!" or whatever. I must be psychic.
Let's see...will my book ever be published???
Darn. Doesn't seem to work like that for me. :-)
I'm still keeping my ears peeled (pealed?) for a crit partner for you. Haven't come across anyone with your writing chops yet, though. Want to at least recommend someone who's at a strong level b/c you'd probably be like, "What the--?" if I sent you someone who was below par.
Just wanted to drop by, see how you're doing. Find a crit partner yet?? I'm still on the hunt myself.
Hey, I was wondering -- is the story you sent me reminiscent of THE HISTORIAN? Just curious, b/c I've heard a lot about that book but haven't read it.
TTYL! Oh! And I just interviewed James Fitzgerald on my blog if you wanna check it out. It's pretty crazy, especially his story about meeting and singing a cabbie in San Francisco (?). I met him (James, not the cabbie :-P) at that conference I went to. www.kayemevans.com/blog
Thanks, Crystal!! I really appreciate the encouragement, really need that right now. Working on a rewrite after getting some notes back from an agent, and I'm going to start querying again in July.
How goes your writerly world? Hope all is well!! :-)
Hi Crystal, saw your request for crit partners, and thought we might fit. If you would take a look at my first five pages in the 'First Pages' group. Title is 'Eden's Rat'. If this looks like something you would be interested in seeing more of, contact me.
