Digital short Saturday Thad Brown The Smoking Gun Sisterhood Chapter One/ Biker Angel

I enjoy finding fun digital short story series and this certainly is one. Thad Brown has some fun with Chapter One and I have previewed Chapter two, he just doesn’t stop. Who is Thad Brown and what does he have in store for us? Check this out and then tell me if you don’t think Biker Angel is worthy of the time and the money for the download:

“From acclaimed author Thad Brown, the first of ten digital short stories from The Smoking Gun Sisterhood: Biker Angel.

Digital short Saturday Bri Clark Caffe Seduzione

A digital short story that has a mysterious Italian guy at the center of the whole thing: Was Bri Clark thinking of me when she penned this? Welcome to a part of the week I love doing and reading, Digital short Saturday. Today is definitely a double header as I have two excellent short stories to bring to your attention. The second post today will be on Thad Brown’s The Smoking Gun Sisterhood/Chapter One/Biker Angel. I am glad I discovered both;  they are both quality digital short stories…

Graphic Novel Friday Guest Post Andrew Dodd Campfire Comics

Comic Con India 2011

It has never happened before, but it’s sure to happen again. Last weekend, fifteen thousand comic book fans gathered together in Delhi for India’s first ever comic con.

The two-day convention was a phenomenal success, far exceeding the expectations of both the organisers (Twenty Onwards Media) and the participants. In its inaugural year, this annual comic con provided a much-needed platform for publishers, retailers,…

Michael Oher I Beat The Odds

The week is winding down and we are still blazing a hot trail here @ Gelati’s Scoop. We had a fun interview this morning with Laurie Bowler, the vampire/paranormal/romance author of Moon Rising, Across the City and many other novels. Please check our archives for the post we had on those novels. Non-fiction is not something I pick up too often, but when I see something inspirational like this, it just seems to jump into my hand. Have you seen the movie, ”The Blind Side”? Yeah, this is the…

Reading to inspire the writing

I'm currently reading Princess of the Midnight Ball, which is fantastic. I just love it. And the best part is, besides being quite entertaining, it's helping me want to work more on my own book.

What Really Is The G-ZONE?

Hi, it is me, the G-man, Giovanni Gelati, he of Gelati’s Scoop blog and The G-Zone blogtalk radio show. I am going to get right to the point because I don’t want to waste your time or mine.

I’m going to sound a bit pretentious here, but what I have been building and the direction in which I want to go is a departure from the stale same old, same old. What is different that I have to offer and sets me apart from other services out there? Simply I am not in the same sandbox as they are.…

Jittery to write

So I want to sit down and write, but as of right now, I can't. And of course, it's all I can think about. Not even my model hobby or my day job as a YA librarian can take away that tenseness in my fingers. I suppose I could jot down some lines here for my novel, but I'm not ready to share that much info just yet with anyone. I'm gonna keep it all secret in my bright yellow recycled notebook. So what scenes to write today? Bannan…

Laurie Bowler Moon Rising

Got Vampires? Looking for a coven? Laurie Bowler has that and much, much more here in Moon Rising. Before we get to the novel, a piece of business: Laurie will be our guest on our blogtalk show The G-ZONE, on Thursday at 8am EST. You read that correctly, the live time is 8am EST. Laurie lives in England so there is a bit of a time difference. Our breakfast is her late lunch. What is between the covers of this vampire/romance/paranormal novel you ask?

“Marinette (Nessy) is half…

About my Models

Okay, this really has absolutely NOTHING to do with writing. Honestly, I couldn't think of anything to write about the novel today. But, I collect and show Breyer (and a few customized Stones) model horses. I probably own roughly around a 100 or so, possibly a few better than that. I show with the Breyer Original Finish Club, All Brands Model Horse Association, the International Pedigree Assignment and Bloodline Research Association, and the Model Equine Photo…

CQ Scafidi Time Couriers and a Q&A

Happy Monday to all and thanks for checking in. We have a monster week ahead of us and we are going to start the week off with a bang, the works of CQ Scafidi. Today I am going to do two things: I am going to revisit a post I had popped in back in the day when I first started this blog, and then a Q&A that is certified fresh off the virtual press from this morning. CQ will be our guest today on our blogtalk radio show, The G-ZONE, @ 5pm EST. Check it out, call in; be part of the…

Digital short Saturday Floyd Buck Periwinkle The Past Really Hurts!

Part two of our posts today involves chapter two from The Breaker Series. Floyd Buck Periwinkle is the author of this series, sorry he has three names. I was considering cutting one out to stay with the theme of two but he might take offense and eliminate me. I would prefer to avoid that. Just a reminder: Tomorrow is Self–Published Sunday, and on Monday we have CQ Scafidi as our guest on The G-Zone blogtalk radio. CQ is the award winning author of Time Couriers and also he has begun the new…

Trying to Focus

So the last couple of days, a new idea for a story has been trying to snuggle itself deep into my brain so that I give it more attention. And it's a good idea, based off my fear of the T-800s and T-600s. But how am I to get anything done with my novel if this other story persists? Oh, I've read some writing books that say to purge the idea onto paper and all that, and I have written down just a jot about the plot, and from that I actually have a title, but I…

Digital short Saturday Laurie Bowler Across The City

Hello and welcome to another edition of Digital short Saturday. Today I am going to have two posts and they both deal with stories that are part of a series. I like the series most of all because I enjoy the character development and the wanting more part of it. Business first though today: Laurie Bowler will be our guest on our blogtalk show The G-ZONE on Thursday Feb. 24th at 8am EST. Yes, for those of us that live in the USA I have 8am written there, Breakfast with Laurie. She…

Can I write a romance?

I've started a YA paranormal/mystery novel. I'm very uncomfortable with romance, but it seems to be what teens want, so I might as well give it a shot. In order to write this one I have to channel my 14-year-old self when I adored Harlequin romances (I can barely remember that far back!). I'm on Ch 5 (14k) so far. Yay me!!

Not much going on in Pentel...

So I didn't get to write at all the other night like I thought I'd get to, so that was a bummer. But, life goes on. I did manage to write a paragraph or so last night, in Bannan's POV. I like him. Determined, a warrior (hasn't been battle-tested yet, though), and he's in love with a girl that the Laws say he can't have. What's not to like? Oh, he has flaws too. Don't think he doesn't. He's just going to be a fun person to write.…

Alex Berenson The Secret Soldier

Things are getting intense around here at Gelati’s Scoop. We are getting involved in much and have much more to do. Sound vague, yes but I have a few things going and can’t reveal all at this time. Next week I am going to drop in something neat, at least I hope that you like it. Anyway, we got a nice compliment from author Irene Hannon on our blogtalk show the other day. Irene was nice enough to point out that the guest we have had and will be having on the blogtalk show are some pretty…

Jessica Dee Rohm The Secret Life of Sandrina M.

Welcome to Wednesday and we have a lot to talk about today.  Jessica Dee Rohm is our featured author today and she will be with us on our blogtalk radio show The GZONE tomorrow, Thursday@ 2pmEST. Jessica has penned a number of novels including Sugar Tower, and Make Me an Offer. If I talk too much about her now, what will we have to talk about tomorrow, hahaha. Seriously though, if you go to any of the places her novels are sold (Amazon, Goodreads, Smashwords….) you can find the…
