Tom Bridgeland replied to Marcus's discussion What are the current rates for editing? in the group eBooks and Self-Publishing
"That doesn't sound unreasonable. Even for an already well-written book there is a lot of responsibility involved in good editing. That is what you are paying for, really. Proofreading is easy. Editing is a whole different game."

Arrows

A wind blew and twisted the bodies around, neatly, one by one, a ghoul displaying his wares. Jon saw that arrows were thick in their faces, on the side facing the house.http://hubpages.com/hub/The-Tale-Of-Jon-Handshaker-Chapter-Twenty-SixRead and critique. Please.See More

A Female Viewpoint

Posted on February 2, 2011 at 11:07pm 0 Comments

Several of my chapters are written from a female viewpoint, a young woman in her late teens. My daughter says I hit it pretty well, she likes those chapters as a break from the relentless male view of the main character.

I am hoping someone here, a woman, could read these chapters, or even just one, particularly the first, which sets her personality, and tell me if I am on or off here.

Ah, yes. Being twelve is difficult for the girl and the parents. Good luck! Tell her hello for me and that I hope she'll read Princess of Las Pulgas too. Would love her comments.

Hey Tom, thanks for that comment on my blog, I really appreciated it. I think it would be nice if you read a couple chapters of my book; I'm usually very shy about letting people read my writing. It was actually kind of hard for me to post that blog. Thanks very much for your offer.
