Born and raised in Michigan, and most recently from South Carolina, I now live in Japan with my husband and twins. I'm the author of a novel for adults - Losing Kei (Leapfrog Press, 2008), a short story collection, The Beautiful One Has Come (Wyatt-Mackenzie Publishing, 2011) and the editor of three anthologies, as well as the author of a picture book, Playing for Papa, published by Topka Books in Spain. MY YA debut, Gadget Girl, is forthcoming from GemmaMedia in 2013.
I've published short stories for young adults in Cicada, Hunger Mountain, Sucker Literary Magazine (forthcoming) and the anthology Tomo: Friendship Through Fiction - An Anthology of Japan Teen Stories.
I'm also the publicity assistant for SCBWI-Tokyo.
Some of my favorite y/a writers are Holly Thompson, Tamara Ireland Stone, Stephanie Perkins, Laurie Halse Anderson, Laura Resau, Beth Kephart, and Ellen Hopkins.

Hey Suzanne,
Is it possible that you could email your first 500 words and your 1-2 sentence bio for the newsletter? (I know you already did this once, but I can't seem to find it.)
If you don't mind :)
Thanks!

Amanda Schoen said… Thanks, Suzanne. It's updated!
