Depending on what you write, join some of the groups, especially First Pages, Query Kick-Around, Synopsis Group, and even Craft Masters. (I'm the moderator for the MG Lair, btw.) Then you can begin mingling, getting to know people. You can join in critiquing others' work but you don't have to. Just a suggestion. You can also comment on discussions. That's a great way to meet folks.
