Hey #YALitChat Members! I'm Megan and I'll be doing some maintenance around the community and forums. Due to a need for space, I am deleting all posts that are older than November 2009 and have…Continue

"Hey all! I'm new to the promotion end of this...and I decided to go Indie with my first novel! I am looking for anyone who would be willing to review my novel or do an author interview, anything, really. I would be more than happy to post an…"

"Wonderful concept Megan! Bridger is a strong title. The letter reads well. I would tighten up the second paragraph. The comments by Patricia seem right on track. Perhaps the last phrase "I plan to market it..." could be combined with the…"
Jumping on the critique bandwagon a bit late here, but hopefully of some use.
I found your first five a nice smooth read--good combination of action and exposition--enough to make sense of what is going on. The premise is intriguing and…"
"I'm a pretty harsh critic when it comes to the first few pages of a book I'm reading and not sure if I'm going to like it. I nearly didn't read The Hunger Games and it turned out to be one of my favorite books.

Hey Megan! Sure am enjoying YALitChat! What a great community of cool folks! Working on some poetry called "Lyrics of a Homestead Life" and chapter vii of The Snow Feast from the Ghost Horse Hollow series. Just sent out my first formal query to an agent in San Diego. Crossing fingers! Have a splendid day!
Hey Megan, Hmmm, not sure. I suppose I am working on something in the way of a novel that could be appreciated by some young adults, but mainly geared towards an older audience. I have tried to figure out what "YA" really means, and it seems to me that an audience is best defined by interest and maturity rather than age - that make sense? My main interest in the site here was you. I am a terribly undisciplined writer and I was impressed at how you are getting things done. I figure there are probably plenty of folks here that I can learn from. The thing now is finding/making time. Peace! And come back to visit us here in Coch sometime soon :o)
