Dear Agent:
Getting a chance to be raised by the “perfect” parents is every child’s dream, except eleven year old Mikey Thompson’s. After his parents perish in a freak car accident, he’s sent to live with a “too good to be true” couple named the River’s. While trying to make sense of his new life, Mikey stumbles upon some startling facts. First, his older brother, Andrew, is part of a conspiracy of kids called the S.O.D.A.’s – the group that planned his parent’s death. Which leads to the second shocking fact, his parents aren’t really dead.
The Society of Direct Ascendants, S.O.D.A. has devised a scheme to brainwash adults into becoming ideal, perfect parents. If Mikey can’t rescue his real parents and his brother’s mind from S.O.D.A.’s diabolical plans, he may never see any of them again.

I have read your query a few times in the Agent Inbox and actually copy/pasted it into a word doc...and revised it. I'd love to share what I came up with. I based my revisions on Elana Johnson's BRILLIANT ebook called From the Query to the Call. It literally revolutionized my own query. I could either post it here...with your permission or I could email it to you. What do you think?
