We are thrilled to count students amongst our membership and are pleased to be able to offer FREE membership to students as long as they are in school. However, we want to be clear as to how YALITCHAT Inc. defines "student" for the purposes of membership.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia: The word student is etymologically derived through Middle English from the Latin second-type conjugation verb studēre, meaning "to direct one's zeal at"; hence a student could be described as "one who directs zeal at a subject". In its widest use, student is used for anyone who is learning.

YALITCHAT defines student as anyone enrolled in a full or part-time curriculum defined by an institution of learning, accredited institution, middle school, high school, trade or technical school. Part-time students must be enrolled for a minimum of nine credits.

Students must show proof of enrollment when contacted by the YALITCHAT membership team. Student status is valid for one year and must be renewed annually.

PLEASE NOTE: Your FREE student subscription entitles you to membership in YALITCHAT for one year ONLY. It does NOT entitle you to any other FREE services, including contest entry, promotions, etc. Students must pay whatever fees are necessary to enter contests as required. Members are entitled to one financial benefit at a time.
