Permalink Reply by Anne Severn Williamson on December 22, 2010 at 10:18am Greetings International Group! I live in Montana on a ranch with the beautiful cream, white, and pale gold Ghost Horses. Their bloodlines are Critically Endangered. My book series is set one hundred years in the future in the Appalachian wilderness. The real Ghost Horses are some of the magical creatures in my upper MG Fantasy called The Fairy Lore of Ghost Horse Hollow. I would love to connect with writers and libraries around the globe, because my work is devoted to world conservation. We have had visitors to the Ghost Horse Hollow website from 121 nations. I would love to hear from you!
Peace to All in the New Year!
Hello International Group! My name is Evangeline. I'm Malaysian.
I am currently writing my first book and I've found it to be a pretty daunting process. :) It is a fiction thriller novel. I'm researching as I write and that is quite a bit of a problem.
I read all sorts of books! Romance, Chick Lit, Historical fiction, and of course YA are my book genre preferences. But I basically read anything and mostly everything, except for books with really graphic descriptions as I feel uncomfortable with them.
The reason why I joined YALITCHAT was to network and connect with other YA authors and readers. I am also looking forward to meeting with YA-ers from other countries.
Permalink Reply by Michelle Dennis Evans on May 5, 2011 at 9:22pm Hello! I'm Australian. I live on the east coast, which is paradise ;)
I wrote a novel a couple of years ago thinking it was womens fiction... but the main characters were all in highschool. Several people read my work they all told me I was more suited to YA .. so in my rewrite I had that in mind.
At the moment, I am subbing my novel and rewriting/pollishing up several other pieces of work.
Since then, I have read a truck load of YA books and I have discovered that YA is now one of my passions. I also write picture books and chapter books.
I read pretty much everything that is contemporary and some magic realism.

I am new to the site and trying to become more familiar with it! It looks like it has a lot to offer and an international group :-)
I am French living in Germany but I used to call the US home for about 7 years. My current WIP is a paranormal romance. I blog and I tweet :-)
Looking forward to connecting with other writers and improving my craft!

It indeed seems like a wonderful group, I am still learning the ropes :-)

Hi everyone!
I thought I would introduce myself. I'm an American who's been living in and out of England's gorgeous grey & green North West for the past three years. I've got a pretty international background, and while England is currently "base," I do a lot of travelling; mainly to see family in India and South Africa. Hoping 2012 is the year I travel somewhere just to be a tourist! I mostly write sci-fi and paranormal YA, though my long-running WIP is a contemporary set in the dysfunctional world of an isolated, evangelical homeschooling family in a rural American community. I've worked as as a journalist, in museums, and in communications for museums and cultural organisations---my day job. I am also the Newsletter Producer for YALITCHAT.org.
I'm a prolific reader, and while the library is a five minute walk from my house, I've managed to clean it out. I did get a Kindle though, so there's a whole new world of ebooks I'm chomping at the bit to explore. I have a 2-year-old terrier mix I adopted this summer, who takes up more time than an 11-pound ball of fuzz has any right to. When I'm not being terrorized by squeaky toys or writing, I rock climb and draw.
I joined YALITCHAT because writing (...and being an expat!) can be very isolating, and I was hoping to get involved with a like-minded community of people on the road to publication. I'm excited to get to know everyone better.
You can find me at my personal blog or on Twitter.
