For the love of..... GRRRR's

Today is one of those... I am going to SCREAM days. RIP out my hair days. And OH MY GRRRRR'S days.

 

Writers have different needs, mine is move-ablity with a touch of music. Some is total silence. Some is a lot of background noise. Some is confinement in space, meaning you use a desktop.

 

So as a parent we must adjust I mean really adjust, to these conditions plus the ones that have our children in those little OMG WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING? Moments that tend to happen. Some of you might be like me, have two children under the age of seven and do everything possible to drag you away from the computer. Examples: "Let's take all the eggs out and smash them on each other it's supposed to be good for your hair right?" next one: "Mom just did the laundry, but I want to help too so I am going to throw all my dirty clothes in the washer, overtop the ones that just got done."

 

Yes, things like these happen. It's okay to want to cry, pull your hair say WTF really loud.

 

As a writer/ parent I completely and fully understand the need for time, patience, and everything in between. Time is precious to us. Most people donot get this concept. It zooms over their head and they look at you like you are lazy, or you haven't did that one thing you want and need to do anyways which is get published. Let me tell you all: You are not lazy, in fact you are the opposite. Taking care of kids, a household, while working and writing a novel on top of all this, YES amazing. Or if you go to school too again AMAZING!

 

So I hope your weekend is filled with fun, labor free, scream free, and extra writing, editing, and reading time. =)

I love this....Thank you for making me feel normal for a moment. Ever had one of those "can't even find time to pee" days..haha.. That seemed like my entire day...And to boot, my bladder seemed to take it as some sort of ultimate challenge. hahaha. Have no had the egg deal happen yet. I am sure that it will. LOL

 

On the plus side- My mother in law was planned to come in this weekend and canceled. SCORE!

I can totally relate.  My nine year old has been driving me crazy.  Dh told me all I do is yell at son.  Well, I left the room to get some writing done and guess what I heard downstairs?  Yep, within 30 minutes he's yelling at son.  Today at Target I called son over.  He ignored me.  I called again.  Still tuned me out.  He was one lane over, reading a package of those dumb Yu-Gi-Go cards.  I mean, he was real close and still he didn't answer.  Grrrr.

 

I've had son put crayolas in his pockets and I didn't catch it until after I dried clothes which ALL had a multi-colored pattern whic was almost impossible to get out.

 

I tell dh by Thursday I need to get away for a few or I'll SCREAM.  And I do.  Whoever thought grocery shopping would be something I'd look forward to.

Grocery shopping, and no mother in law's coming over always always always a huge SCORE! Glad you ladies enjoyed the post, and yes, we all go through some kind of ARGH! Moment just remember you aren't alone. Please feel free to vent. =)
