Middle Grade Lair's Mission within YAlitchat!

Have a love of Middle Grade books? Come be inspired while inspiring others!

It's great being a Young Adult writer, isn't it? But some YA writers, like yourselves, choose to explore other arenas of the KidLit world, including Middle Grade. So here, in our fabulous MG Lair, we'll explore what makes those tween years of pre/post puberty infamous and memorable all at the same time. (Ages 8 -12; grades 3 - 6.)

Some of our agents are now taking submissions for Middle Grade. YAY! So keep that in mind. Please visit our First Pages, Pimp My Scene, Query Kick Around, & Synopsis Repair Groups just as you would for any YA manuscript you might have written. Shine those manuscripts up!!

Have a great contest for you! Janet Lee Carey is on my blog with her new YA Fantasy, DRAGONSWOOD. And you can WIN your very own copy by leaving her a comment.

The Kirkus review is quoted to call DRAGONSWOOD, 'a dark fantasy illuminated by piercing flashes of hope.'
