In my search for an agent I've noticed that many who say they take fantasy tend to want it grounded in the real world. I know that it's like that for YA as well and only a select few agents focus on fantasy, but I've noticed lately it is a lot harder to find MG agents interested in work that leans a tad high fantasy or portal type fantasy. I'm thinking of books by Cornelia Funke, Tamora Pierce, and Angie Sage. Most of these have UK agents. I wonder if that says something. Should one be querying UK agents?

Does anyone know of agents who may go for MG fantasy?

Rats, I think I remember one in NYC. Let me dig through my notes and I'll let you know as soon as possible.
