Middle Grade Lair's Mission within YAlitchat!

Have a love of Middle Grade books? Come be inspired while inspiring others!

It's great being a Young Adult writer, isn't it? But some YA writers, like yourselves, choose to explore other arenas of the KidLit world, including Middle Grade. So here, in our fabulous MG Lair, we'll explore what makes those tween years of pre/post puberty infamous and memorable all at the same time. (Ages 8 -12; grades 3 - 6.)

Some of our agents are now taking submissions for Middle Grade. YAY! So keep that in mind. Please visit our First Pages, Pimp My Scene, Query Kick Around, & Synopsis Repair Groups just as you would for any YA manuscript you might have written. Shine those manuscripts up!!

MG Fantasy--Is the Genre Lacking Agents?

Started by Elizabeth Prats. Last reply by LM Preston Mar 1. 3 Replies

In my search for an agent I've noticed that many who say they take fantasy tend to want it grounded in the real world. I know that it's like that for YA as well and only a select few agents focus on…Continue
