Not a book to Film but the Book 'The Luxe' will be adapted to the TV. A series from the producers of 'Gossip Girl' is in the works dubbed as 'Gossip Girl' meets 'Age of Innocence'

A adapted YA classic, from a ground breaking author of our times, Judy Blume has started production. Blume is rumored to have written the screenplay herself along with her son.

Here is a take on the production of 'Tiger Eyes' and it's adaptation from book to screen.

Three films released in November are adapted from novels, the most obvious is Harry Potter and the first installment of the Deathly Hallows. With wide-spread release even Wal-mart will become a theater for this one.

Off the beaten track is Kerosene Cowboys adapted from Randy Arringtons Kerosene Boys: Manning the Spare starring 'Twilights' Cam Gigandet, Rachael Leigh Cook and Shane West. Due for a limited release November 7th 2010.

Did anyone read the book?

'Fair Game' has a release date of November 5th, also limited. Starring Naomi Watts & Sean Penn, anything with Sean Penn just turns to gold, and based on the memoir 'Fair Game: My Life as a Spy, My Betrayal by the White House' by Valerie Plame Wilson.

The book was heavily redacted by the CIA, will it turn in to a better movie?

In this age of "Twilight" and "Harry Potter" mega-success, Hollywood has taken a keen interest in the young adult literary world in search of the next big thing. One of the likeliest contenders out there is "I Am Number Four," a book that arrives in stores on August 3 and is credited to a writer with the distinctly alien name Pittacus Lore. The story follows a group of human-looking aliens who take refuge on Earth after their home planet of Lorien is destroyed by a marauding race of invaders known as Mogadorians.

Ican't believe I haven't had time to post until now. BUT. Just wanted to say what an amazing adaptation Ramona and Beezus was. So true to the books and character. And I'm told (though I didn't notice myself) that Beezus was reading a Meg Cabot book twice. I was likely too busy boohooing and snotting. I cried tons in that film.
