Contest details. If you want to enter the contest we’d be excited to have you.  The winner meets their 50K goal or has the highest count of all contestants. As well as posting a snippet of writing daily (25 words of your writing for the day) and the word count for the day that you post. The winner would have posted at least 10 times during the month of November their word count and snippet for that day. Please provide your nanowrimo.org screen name and buddy all of the contestants.

So here is the steps to enter:

-          Be a member of Yalitchat

-          Join Contest Forum

-          Post Introduction to include (nanowrimo login name, title of nanowork, current words completed, 5 sentence synopsis of book you are writing)

-          Post Daily or weekly (word count, 25 word snippet of what your wrote during the recent session)

-          Winner is the highest recorded word count from all contestants (be warned, you may be asked to present draft to prove word count.)

A popular Junior by day, Alex is haunted by night, as she protects the century long prophecy, The Bretheren Eternus, that hides the immortality of it's leaders spanning the globe for hundreds of years. Will she and Jack fulfill her legacy or will the strikingly handsome new football player come between them and rip the elixir of eternal life from their safe-keeping.

“Ok, tell me, what is it like in NewYork,” She glanced up at the sky and thought for a moment, when her eyes crossed mine again it was as though she came alive.
“Oh my God! You would love it, it’s just amazing I find it hard to put it in to words. I lived on the Upper East Side, which is, of course, the place to live” she continued to tell me of her life in New York so vividly that within minutes I longed to walk Fifth Avenue and eat in a trendy Greenwich Village deli, outside on the sidewalk, watching New York pass by.
Tori looked ecstatic, thinking, talking and remembering New York, fired her up and I listened to her stories of fashion parties at Art Galleries and dinner parties on roof top patios under a blanket of mini string laterns. I was glad to see her happy.

I got to tell you all, I LOVE reading the snippets!!

Been writing all day and my butt hurts. Anyway here's my word count 22789 words. I'm so close to finishing I can taste it.

Oh, here's a synopsis. I'm writing a sequel.
Shamira once saved them all - the missing kids on Mars, but now, she has to save herself. Someone's stalking her, taking away all that she cares about, whomever she cares about, with the single most attempt, to kill her.

Here's my snippet:
Air trapped in her throat, her eyes watered at his deceit, and she felt as though a knife was plunged into her heart. He was her friend, a good friend. Like her giant protector, she’d thought. Now though, she knew him as a traitor and a killer. “I’ve… got … to make sure.” Her finger clicked through the videos only to find... it wasn't a lie.

I'll continue writing tonight after the kids are good and sleep. Also...I have 2 all nighters in my future this weekend. Anyone want to join me?

Hi all! My login is Roswenthe, my working title is Misfits. I am currently at 21,410 words.

(I hadn't really written much of a synopsis yet because I wanted to finish the story first.)
STATUS is a top-secret unit of the CIA created to recover stolen technology. However, they've earned the nickname "The Misfits" because they are anything but the image of a highly trained operative unit. Made up of a dwarf, a buck-toothed free spirit, a 6'3" female goth, a very shy computer whiz, a superspy who is being punished by assignment to them, a couple that looks like bad American tourists, and a college student who somehow ended up in the middle of one of their missions, the Misfits try to recover a set of hoverboards after the technology falls into the wrong hands. They operate on the premise that nobody takes them seriously, so their targets won't either. Can they succeed, or will the CIA close them down before they can finish the mission?

Synop: (I can't reveal the entire plot, but here's what I can say): Sungurl is a 16 year-old girl's dark quest for power and attention that corrupts, and her subsequent struggle to set right what she has destroyed, including the boy she loves. It is a YA urban fantasy, set in current day New York and Brooklyn. Ponder this quote: “The dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dreams with eyes, to make it possible.” -T. 25-word snippet: “Oh.” Staring harder at her discarded, limp lettuce, she noticed that it was glued to a greasy spread of ketchup. “Was it our conversation or…?”

I can't do all night but a good 2 or 3am would be fun. And by the way you said a 5 line synopsis, it took me an hour to write mine! It was awful, I had never written one before, oh what we do for Kindle's, eh?!

Synopsis- There is no place in the Underworld for a Child of the Angels. When Nephilim Evangeline van Helsing accidentally becomes the next Ruler of the Underworld she has a lot to handle - Persphone is out for her blood, her angelic identity must remain hidden at all costs, and she must choose between remaining for 1000 years as the King of the Underworld or returning her predecessor to another millenium as ruler. Does she even have a choice especially when she's fallen for Hades himself?

Total for 11/11 - 3200 word (intend to post weekly :) )
Aiming for 95k!

Evie walked with Cerberus. He trotted alongside her, his great haunches bumping against her shoulders. The dog’s three heads took turns to scan the dark recesses of the tunnel behind them. Was he keeping an eye - or six- out for Ares? Thankfully there was no sound from the unconscious God.

That's it from me - I still have my quota for tonight to complete (at least 4500 words)
