Do you paint the world with words?
Do you make Literary Magic?!?
But, more importantly, do you write YA?!?!? (<-- interrobang EXPLOSION, right there)
If so, you want to be part of YA FRENZY
"What is YA Frenzy
?" you ask, in awe and wonder.
I will tell you.
Because I'm a serious thief when it comes to other people's brilliant ideas, when I read about SCRIPT FRENZY
, I thought:
"BAH! Scripts? YA Novelists can do 100 pages in 30 days with our eyes closed!"*
So, if YOU are a YA writer and need competition and smack talk to make yourself take giant strides on your current WIP, we start on Thursday, with a goal of about 850 words a day. At the end of April, you'll have added 100 pages (roughly 25000 words) to your WIP (or be finished completely, if you are, for instance, ME.**)
If you are on Twitter, we'll use the hash #yafrenzy
to report in with totals.***
But you don't have to be on Twitter to play. Use Facebook, send me an email or private message. Either way, if you're in, let me know so we can post our general weekly awesomeness somewhere public to shame those who are not involved with our superior wordcountages.*****
But know that I EXPECT GREAT THINGS from all of you. And since it's my goal to be completely finished with Wylde 2 at the end of April, you will be hearing MAJOR smack talk from this end of the country for sure. Or, at least, grumbling, angst, and kvetching when I get stuck around April 2nd. Either way... I will be talking.
TELL YOUR FRIENDS!! Let's see if we can show those scriptwriters what's up.
(And if someone wants to make some kind of cool graphic for the month, we could use it on blogs and stuff. I would make one with my mad crooked stick figures skillz, but I don't want you all to hate me for my Renaissancian Womanness*****)
* Does not represent actual verbiage of Heather's thoughts, which are, at best, convoluted and, at worst, have more to do with male eye candy than is strictly healthy for any one woman.
** Yes, I am that awesome.
*** On an honor system, because I suck at math.****
**** No really, I can't even keep track of simple wordcounts without threatening the lives of small woodland creatures in my anguish
***** I have an English degree, which entitles me to make up words on my whim. Do not question the power of the BACHELOR OF ARTS.
