I am so happy I found this group! It was starting to get a little lonely researching and looking for information about agents and publishing. This site has such a friendly community and wonderful resources. I can't wait to meet everyone!
Hi Lisa-do what you feel is best for YOUR story! There are more and more books coming out nowadays with more than one POV. Good luck! :-)

Georgia...I LOVE your NING and #YALITCHAT!

I do have a question and would like some advice. I am writing a YA novel (3rd person) from the POV of the two main characters. Is it okay to have two POV or should I reduce it to one?

Thanks!

Hello everyone,

I had the pleasure of speaking to almost two hundred sixth graders yesterday about descriptive writing. It was an amazing experience. During the in-service I quoted passages from various YA books and also read a scene from my WIP. I almost fell on the floor when the hands shot up to ask where they could get a copy of my book! They seemed so disappointed when I told them it wasn't published yet. :)

Anyway the reason I'm sharing this is because I wanted to collect more resources as I've been asked by the principal to speak with ALL the sixth and seventh graders at the middle school. YIKES! I am not internet savvy like most but I'm getting there. Is there a way I can place an icon on my blog for this site. If so, where should I direct YA's that are pursuing writing?

One more unrelated question: Should I have received a confirmation e-mail when I submitted my entry to YALitChat writing contest?

Thanks for any info or suggestions.

Tammie
I'm so excited to be a part of this group, and I can't wait for the next Tweet chat! :-) It looks like a fantastic community to me.
Hi all! I'm new. Just joined. I'm so excited to be a part of this group. It's been so hard to connect with other aspiring YA writers. There aren't many in my area. I'm so looking forward getting to know all of you :)
Hi! I'm so excited to be here and meet new people who loves reading and writing YA! I can't wait to explore the site and join future activities.

Cheers!

At first, I started writing YA because I wanted to explore the voice that lurked in the back of my head, pestering my night and day. And now, I will keep writing, thanks to the wonderful communities like this that remind me I am a writer and NOT CRAZY for "hearing voices.." Thanks Georgia for bringing all of us together on so many different levels!
Welcome!!!
Hey Everyone! I am excited to be here :) It looks like a really friendly, informative place. And, of course, I love all things YA. I'm a thirty year old Australian and am editing my first Contemporary YA - there's so much to learn!
Looking forward to getting to know some of you guys :)
Hi All,
I joined a while back but am just now trying to dive in. Thanks to Shelli Johannes Wells for turning me onto the site. I'm a picture book author/illustrator but am in the middle of writing a YA novel so am looking forward to discussions!
Glad to be here!
