I've noticed a few of our members (myself included) are participating in next month's novel writing frenzy other wise known as NaNoWriMo.

I thought I'd take this opportunity to create a little spot where we can come and post our links to our author's pages that way we can "buddy" each other and more importantly be an area where we can come to garner support and rally ourselves when our fingers feel like they might fall off from all that typing!

So I raise my glass (I mean bag o' Twizzlers to you) and wish us all word vomit!

I had an okay weekend. I spent the better part of Saturday researching an idea I had which turns out I can loosely base it on historical references-so I'm thrilled with that. Here are my stats:

Closing out tonight at 15,012 wrds. Have to do a small rewrite to my outline, but will make up numbers tonight. I think I'll actually end up finishing this novel before the end of the month which would be uber awesome - yet sad...unless, I make this a trilogy :-D

Got back on the writing wagon today after the weekend off. I just can not get anything done. Nothing huge, 1,566-better than nothing though!

I'm sucking at NaNo, but someone is dangling a Kindle in front of me, the word count may look up this week. Although I will have to stay up writing for about 72 hours to catch with LM Preston. I am officially 6 days behind, I am almost free of boxes though, yay!

You have ample opportunity to catch up to me. I'm going on a 5 day cruise and my husband told me I'm not allowed to bring my laptop along. (eek!)

@LM A cruise? SAAWEEEET! You are totally kicking butt though...a break sounds like it will be much deserved and very inspiring.

@Adrienne - You can TOTALLY catch up!

Day 9 and trying to get it done. I'm currently at 13,622 and plan on plugging away up to Turkey Day. This is certainly a tough month to pull this off with the holidays.
How's everyone else doing? Am so enjoying this:)

I totally agree! I always say November is the worst month for me, therefore the challenge is even greater. Seems like something is planned every weekend. I have a 6 year old bday party to plan and we are driving to Ohio for the T-day weekend. Hope my aunt has good internet service :)
Meanwhile I am also using teh Scrivener Windows Beta version and it keeps messing with my words. Sunday I opened it and three days worth of writing was gone! Fortunately I saved in Rich Text, so I could salvage it. Downloaded the 3rd beta version now, so it may work better. *fingers crossed* If not I will be finishing in OpenOffice :)

ok, I'm catching up, I have 2 full day word counts written and plan to have 2 more by the end of today. Then I have daily plans to catch me up by the 14th, not a lost cause yet! LM - when's that cruise?

Cruise Thanksgiving week! Can't wait, been paying on this thing for 2 years, lol! Also, doing Disney for 2 days. Yes, this is a bad time for me to have a write frenzy, but I plan on taking off 2 months to work on the outline with a writing partner.
