I've been lurking #yalitchat for a bit and I just had to join. My first YA fantasy novel, Familiar Origins, has been prereleased by Silver Leaf Books (official release date is May 1) I'm looking to meet fellow writers (especially mommy writers) and young readers to get an idea what they are looking for in a story. My fantasy novel is the first in a series I am currently working on. Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Sorry I only saw this thread today. I've been an active member for a few days now, commenting on queries and 5 pagers, as well as posting my own 5 pager as BLOOD MOON by Nat Sanders, if anyone would like to comment.

 

My name is Nathalie Alexander, my pen name is Nat Sanders. I'm working on my ms BLOOD MOON right now, a YA paranormal romance novel. Check it out if you have some time.

Yep, B is fine. My full name is Bonnie Pinero but a lot of my co-workers used to call me B (hence the pen name/blog name) It also makes it easy for chat :-)  I have three of my own, two preschoolers and one college-bound this fall, which I am finding hard to believe.

Thanks, Andrea. My youngest is two, so I know what you're going through. They grow up very fast, though, so enjoy each day, even though some days are harder to enjoy than others.

Hah...my oldest is a junior in high school, this year. I can't believe we've started looking into colleges for him. It's nuts. Good luck with all that. (I also have two in junior high and one in elementary school.)
