Hi everyone! Just introducing myself. :-) I'm new here but have been an Absolute Write regular for years. I spend more time on Twitter than I do on forums, though, so please feel free to follow me @snarkychicklet. I follow back my fellow writers!

Permalink Reply by Jo Ramsey on January 25, 2011 at 8:44am I'm back! (Okay, so maybe people didn't know I was gone. LOL)
I joined YALitChat a while back, but then got bogged down with writing, revising, and some personal life stuff and stopped hanging out here. But I'm back now, and just subscribed :)
Since last time I was here, I've had the second novel in my urban fantasy series Reality Shift released, have books 3 and 4 under contract, have the first book in a new UF series under contract, and just got a contract for my first YA contemporary novel.
Looking forward to spending more time here and getting to know (or re-know) everyone :)

Permalink Reply by Steph Winkelhake on February 4, 2011 at 9:48am Thanks, Georgia. I'm excited to meet other YA writers and to enter all the wonderful contests I see listed on this site!
I'm an aspiring YA writer, and areas of focus are the paranormal and science fiction genres. I've written a few manuscripts over the years, and I just completed my latest YA paranormal novel a few weeks ago. I'm also a software app programmer and a HUGE Joss Whedon fan. I'm on Twitter too -- @StephieWink -- and I can't wait to meet everyone!
Permalink Reply by Leah Miller on February 4, 2011 at 10:32am Hi all! I'm Leah Miller, a 28 year old wife and mother of two boys from northern Louisiana. I've loved reading and writing my entire life and now I've decided to really pursue a writing career. I am currently in the process of writing my YA fantasy novel and loving every minute of it. I'm excited to be a member here and, hopefully, make a lot of new friends. I've been blogging about my writing experience. Also, I'm addicted to Twitter, it makes it so easy to ask professionals for advice and to find similar people.
I like lava lamps, Junior Mints, chocolate milk, gardening, tearing anything that's perforated, the TV show CSI, musicals, Bjork, Nellie McKay, Top Chef, regency romances, new office supplies, and Harry Potter (I have a lightning bolt tattoo, no, its not on my forehead, lol).
Thanks for the membership, Georgia!

Hola, my name is Katie. I am a 21 year old junior in college, who is studying biochemistry. I am currently working on a mg / ya novel. I spend my free time working on the book, or hanging out with friends. Writing for me is a potentially productive hobby. I also am a self taught artist, who still has a lot to learn. And I can't think of anything else. Oh wait, I really like Mexican food. :) The white cheese dip is great :D
