Hello, all,
I'm very excited to join you! I've followed the Twitter chats for a while now, so I know what a great group this is.
I teach legal writing by day and write YA by night (a mix of contemporary and historical). I learned about YALitChat through my awesome critique group friend, Nikki Katz. She, Andrea Ortega, and I have a blog about YA craft called "YA Know" (http://yaknow.livejournal.com).
I look forward to meeting many of you!

hi I have a young adult novel and I'm looking for representation. Any suggestions on who to send my query too?
My novels are posted on http://authonomy.com
I plan to Query for The Munroe Mansion - The Beginning
It is book one of The Munroe Series of novels that I'm writing.

Be sure to check out Agent Inbox when Georgia opens it again. That may answer your question.

Permalink Reply by Amber Skye Forbes on July 5, 2010 at 11:26am Hello All--
I discovered YALITCHAT through a couple of authors and agents I was following on twitter and livejournal. I'm still a mere college student, but I've just started my first full length young adult manuscript (I've done a few ya short stories). I've found that college courses are not always very accepting of young adult style stories, for some reason, so I was excited to find a site like this dedicated entirely to the genre and the community of writers.
My current ms is a paranormal romance, but with a literary edge (ala If I Stay). The working title is "These Lies Won't Stay Long".
