Hi Rachel! Welcome! Are you currently writing?

Hi everyone,

My name is Rachel, and I'm currently an undergraduate student that wants to learn more about the YA world. Thanks for having me!
Hi Suzy! Welcome. Nice to meet you! Not really sure what you mean by book proposal. Is your book fiction?

Hello Everyone, I'm so excited to be here. I have recently finished doing a major overhaul and revision of my YA and I am now in the process of developing a book proposal. My friend Joyce from my writers group suggested I join here to get critiques on my pitch. Still in the browsing stage. I will post again once I find a place I feel I can pitch in. Nice to meet you all.
I am also a newbie and happy to be here. Thanks for doing it.
Hi Georgia - I'm new to this site and a fellow TeenFire member told me I am a semi-finalist in the First 250 Words contest. Where could I find that info on here or TeenFire? I am so excited! I also want to read the other finalists entries. Thanks for your help, and this site is chock full of great info.
Hey everyone!

This site is so cool, and I can't wait to learn more and meet some awesome people! Found it through Twitter.

I'm a junior in college right now, studying English. I'm in the middle of the query process with my first book, Morgantown. Just got a partial request! Woot!

Nice to meet you all :)
I'm pathetic. I joined way back in January, but haven't posted a darn thing. Mostly cuz I'm a techo-moron and can't really figure out how to navagate to the cool stuff.

Anyway, I'm one of the 30 million YA paranormal authors out there and my debut, PERSONAL DEMONS will be released by Macmillan on September 14, 2010. (Only 6 months. EEEK!) I participate nearly every week on the Twitter #yalitchat, but not so much here. So I'm hoping to get more involved and hook up with all the other fabulous authors, publishing professionals and readers that make up our cool little community. =)

When I'm done copy edits on PERSONAL DEMONS and revisions on ORIGINAL SIN (the sequel) for my editor, I'll be back to figure out where the fun chat and forums are.
Hi everybody! Just joined the ning group here, but try to participate in #yalitchat's. I have a contemp YA on sub right now. I usually hang around on AW, and blog with a group of great YA writers that I met on there. Our blog is the Old People Writing For Teens blog. Not because we're old, but becuase when you're a teen, anyone our age is ancient. This site looks great and I can't wait to dig in and see what's going on here.
Welcome Jamie! :)

I'm behind in my welcoming message and OMG look at the great new people who are on board! Hi to Suzy, Robin, K.M., Kira, Marva, Lisa, Jaime, Annie . . . EVERYONE.

BTW, if you're a expert in something (psychology, history, law etc.) and you're willing to be contacted by writers who need help with specifics that are not in their area of expertize, come over to the Experts Group and join us.
I do! I've technically completed two YA Fantasy novels, although both of them are embarrassing and should probably never see the light of day. I'm currently working on my third.

Thanks for the welcome!

Hi there everyone!

My name is Jay, and I joined about a week ago and have finally gotten around to doing something about it. I'm not yet published, but have written the first two books of a middle grade fantasy series, and am nearing the end of my YA urban fantasy (1st draft). I love contemporary fantasy, and that's the space in which I write.

Looking back now, I really jumped into writing with both feet a bit later in life than I would have liked. But I'm not looking back. I hang around on writing.com quite a bit and am part of the YA writing/reviewing group there. (Thanks to Rachel for that too.) I only wish I could remember to get on twitter during the #YALitChat's more frequently.

Jay
Hey there, stranger. Fancy seeing you here. :)

Welcome! (Although I'm new here, too.)
