Hi everyone,
My name is Rachel, and I'm currently an undergraduate student that wants to learn more about the YA world. Thanks for having me!

Hello Everyone, I'm so excited to be here. I have recently finished doing a major overhaul and revision of my YA and I am now in the process of developing a book proposal. My friend Joyce from my writers group suggested I join here to get critiques on my pitch. Still in the browsing stage. I will post again once I find a place I feel I can pitch in. Nice to meet you all.

I usually hang around on AW, and blog with a group of great YA writers that I met on there. Our blog is the Old People Writing For Teens blog. Not because we're old, but becuase when you're a teen, anyone our age is ancient. This site looks great and I can't wait to dig in and see what's going on here.

Permalink Reply by Rachel Lim on March 12, 2010 at 10:17pm Hi there everyone!
My name is Jay, and I joined about a week ago and have finally gotten around to doing something about it. I'm not yet published, but have written the first two books of a middle grade fantasy series, and am nearing the end of my YA urban fantasy (1st draft). I love contemporary fantasy, and that's the space in which I write.
Looking back now, I really jumped into writing with both feet a bit later in life than I would have liked. But I'm not looking back. I hang around on writing.com quite a bit and am part of the YA writing/reviewing group there. (Thanks to Rachel for that too.) I only wish I could remember to get on twitter during the #YALitChat's more frequently.
Jay
